Fredy was born in San Pedro de Macoris in Santo Domingo on July 9th 1967, into a family of French and Dutch heritage that had resided in St Martin for several hundred years. He made the move back to St Martin in 1979 to be with family and friends and to continue his apprenticeship of engraving and carving animals, landscapes, and Indian designs on precious and exotic wood.
Fredy's current work consists of watercolors and acrylic painting on wood and canvas, capturing the true color of St Martin: scenes of beaches, sunsets, landscapes, and portraits showing the very unique Caribbean colors that one is so accustomed to seeing in the islands. Some of his work incorporates sand from the actual beaches depicted in the painting. These are marked "*S" in the gallery below. The prices in the gallery are in US dollars and represent a 10% discount from the gallery prices.

Fredy est revenu à Saint Martin en 1979 pour se rapprocher de sa famille et ses amis, et pour poursuivre l'apprentissage de gravure et de sculpture d'animaux, paysages, et motifs indiens sur de bois précieux et exotiques.
Fredy produit actuellment des acqurelles et acryliques, sur bois ou toile saisissant las véritables couleur locale de St Martin: scènes de plage, couchers du soleil, paysages et portraits, qui rendent les couleurs uniques de la caraïbe, qui font la distinction de nos isles.
